Every year, IndyStar’s Season for Sharing campaign brings our community together to support young people across Central Indiana. It’s a simple idea with a powerful impact: When local journalism shines a light on community needs — and generous people like you step forward — we can help create brighter futures for our youth.
Since the campaign launched in 2011, Season for Sharing has invested more than $1.7 million in nonprofit organizations serving children and families. This year, we’re proud to join forces with the Summer Youth Program Fund, a collaborative of Indianapolis funders supporting high-quality summer programs for more than 80,000 Marion County youth.
Your gift helps make all of this possible. When you donate, you’re giving young people the chance to discover new interests and build real-world skills — from hiking and sports to theater, music, art, gardening, science experiments, robotics, service projects, job training, and more. It’s an investment in joy, growth, and opportunity during the months when kids need it most.
And because IndyStar covers all fundraising and administrative costs, every dollar you give goes directly to agencies serving Central Indiana youth.
Please note: Season for Sharing is a donor-advised fund of the Indianapolis Foundation, Inc. and therefore cannot accept Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) from IRAs for donors age 70½ and older.
