Thank you for considering a gift to Samaria's Legacy Fund.
Samaria Blackwell was a compassionate, service-minded young woman whose generosity of spirit shaped every part of her life. The youngest of four, she carried a natural gift for connecting with people—friends and strangers alike—and approached every day with warmth, humor, and a commitment to helping others. Guided by the values reflected in her name, Samaria envisioned a future in public service and aspired to become a police officer.
At 19, Samaria’s life was tragically cut short in the April 15, 2021 mass shooting at the FedEx facility in Indianapolis. In her honor, Samaria’s Legacy Fund has been established to carry forward the principles she lived so faithfully.
Samaria’s Legacy Fund invests in organizations and programs that reflect her belief in compassion, opportunity, and meaningful relationships. The fund’s advisors are committed to supporting efforts—particularly those serving young people—that strive to recognize, respect, and respond to the needs within our community. Through this fund, donors can help ensure that Samaria’s spirit of care and service continues to make a lasting impact.
