Alicia was one of the most die-hard advocates for grassroots community and personal leadership development in Indianapolis and a beloved member of the Indianapolis Foundation and Central Indiana Community Foundation staff for over 18 years.
She will be remembered for her many contributions to our racial equity work — especially lifting up the voices of residents, community-based organizations, and grassroots organizers.
The Alicia J. Collins Legacy Fund will continue Alicia’s work and focus on leadership in and amongst disinvested neighborhoods and resident leaders. Alicia’s family and community members will participate and inform the grantmaking coming from this fund. We greatly appreciate you honoring Alicia with a gift to this special memorial fund.
