INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The Indianapolis Foundation awarded more than $4.8 million in grants to 120 nonprofit organizations in December 2025, marking a strong close to the year and reinforcing its commitment to building a thriving Indianapolis.

These investments advanced community-led initiatives that strengthen housing stability, expand economic opportunity, improve health outcomes, and support environmental equity across Indianapolis. Grant awards also supported critical areas such as youth development, the arts and cultural vitality, and other efforts that contribute to safe, connected, and resilient neighborhoods.

“Our year-end grantmaking was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when generosity meets purpose,” said Ahmed Young, President and CEO of the Indianapolis Foundation. “As we celebrate more than a century of supporting this community, these investments reflect both our history and a commitment to our future, working with our partners, listening to community voices, and advancing efforts that build lasting opportunity for generations to come.”

Throughout its 110-year history, the Indianapolis Foundation has continued to evolve alongside the city it serves, responding to emerging needs while deepening its focus on addressing systemic barriers. In recent years, this work has been guided by a clear commitment to supporting community-driven solutions rooted in lived experience and local leadership.
